Alex Wolff, probably best known for possessing the heavily-muscled body of Dwayne Johnson in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, is almost set to make his feature-length directorial debut. The movie is called The Cat and the Moon, and Wolff also wrote the script. In addition, he will play the main character, Nick. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast has now been finalized, and it will feature the talents of Mischa Barton, Mike Epps, Skyler Gisondo, Mike Epps, Tommy Nelson, and Stefania LaVie Owen.
The Cat and the Moon focuses on Nick (Wolff), who comes to support his rehab-bound mom in New York. He spends a small bit of time residing with a jazz artist named Cal. They know each other through his father, who has since passed away. While in the city, he befriends four pizza-loving mutant turtles, who are battling an evil entity known as the Shredder. WHOAH, sorry, I blacked out for a second there. In the real movie, which is not a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, Nick meets a group of kids who show him what New York City is all about.
Prior to Jumanji, which is about to reach an unreal $940 million worldwide, Wolff brilliantly portrayed Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in Patriots Day. Wolff can soon be seen in Netflix’s Dude on April 20th of this year.
