Looking for something to do on Halloween? Going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show is a popular Halloween pastime, but this year the usual fun theater events will have to be skipped in favor of virtual gatherings. The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is hosting one such event, bringing together an all-star cast of musical guests for a live stream of the Rocky Horror movie from 1975.
Tim Curry, who led the film adaptation, is returning to reprise his role alongside other cast members of the film Barry Bostwick and Nell Campbell. Curry has largely stayed out of the public eye since 2012, when he suffered a stroke.
Other guests for the live event include Wilmer Valderrama, Lance Bass, Rosario Dawson, Jason George, Seth Green, Jason Alexander, and David Arquette. Musical performances will be featured from The Dresden Dolls, Miss Peppermint, Eiza Gonzalez, Josh Gad, Ben Barnes, Jenna Ushkowitz, Rachel Bloom, Kalen Chase, Karen Olivo, Marissa Jaret Winkour, Madison Uphoff, and Rumer Willis.
In order to view the star-studded event, a donation of any amount or a sign-up for a volunteer shift can be made here. The donations will contribute to the Democratic Party’s efforts to take the lead in Wisconsin, a historically swing state.
Democratic Party of Wisconsin chair Ben Wikler stated about the event: “In the final sprint of this election, we don’t need a time warp. The joy, laughter, and hilarious, outrageous energy of this iconic musical will mobilize new volunteers and raise funds to send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House.”
