DC’s ‘Black Adam’ Reported To Feature Doctor Fate and Isis

Warner Bros’s upcoming film DC Black Adam has been the talk of the town for the past two weeks, with Dwayne Johnson set to portray the titular character. However, fans will be even more overjoyed as DC Films confirmed that fan favorites Doctor Fate and Isis will be featured in the final product according to Comicbook.com.

While the report from DC Films does not give a vivid description of what the characters will look like or who will be casted when they make their feature film debuts, the news should amplify the hype surrounding the project over the past month. The character of Doctor Fate’s most recent appearance was in the live-action WB series Smallville while a version of Isis- renamed Zari- was a regular on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow portrayed by Tala Ashe.

Aside from the debut appearances of Doctor Fate and Isis, Warner Bros confirmed that Black Adam will introduce the Justice Society of America to the big screen. The film’s producer, Hiram Garcia, told the press that Black Adam will exist in the same universe as Shazam!

Doctor Fate has also made animated appearances since Bruce Timm’s Superman: The Animated Series, which ran from 1996 to 2000, and would make subsequent appearances in the DCAU’s follow-up series Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. This iteration of the character was voiced by George DelHoyo.
