David Tennant to Star in Dean Devlin’s ‘Bad Samaritan’

Best-known for his work as The Doctor on Doctor Who, David Tennant’s name once again became prominent as one of Marvel’s most gruesome villains to date, Kilgrave, on Netflix’s Jessica Jones. Now, Deadline reports Tennant is set to star in Electric Entertainment’s Bad Samaritan. Written by Brandon Boyce, Dean Devlin will direct this thriller and aims to shoot late this year.

Bad Samaritan follows two young valets who use their business as a front to burglarize the houses of their unsuspecting customers. The perfect scam for these small time crooks, but all of that changes when they target the wrong house. Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan are producing with Devlin.

Tennant also starred in ITV’s Broadchurch after his work on Fox’s version of that drama series Gracepoint.  Tennant recently completed Robert Mullan’s Mad To Be Normal, where he portrays renowned Scottish psychiatrist RD Laing. He will also begin shooting Daisy Aitkens’ romantic comedy Fish Without Bicycles later this year.
