Dave Bautista may have retired from the WWE but he has yet to truly say goodbye to the world of wrestling. In an exclusive interview shared with Comicbook, the ex-pro wrestler turned actor shared that he likes to sneak his iconic move the Bautista Bomb into all the films he appears in as a nod to his first career. His easter egg as he calls it.
Fans can expect to try and spot the beloved wrestling move in Bautista’s latest picture appearance, My Spy: and the Eternal City, now streaming on Prime Video. In the sequel to 2020’s My Spy, Bautista reprises his role alongside co-star Chole Coleman as the older CIA agent and his protégé turned stepdaughter who team up to take out a terrorist plot while on a class trip to Italy. But not just any terrorist, nuclear terrorist resulting in Bautista having to break out the old move from his days in the ring.
Among Bautista’s other appearances on film include both the Dune and the Guardians of the Galaxy Franchises and stand-alone films like Army of the Dead and Knock on the Cabin. Including a memorably charming appearance in Glass Onion; A Knives Out Mystery. Before this illustrious career on the silver screen, Bautista could be found in multiple WWE specials from 2000 to 2019 winning two championships for himself before taking on Hollywood.
