Comedy Legend Jerry Stiller Passes Away at Age 92

Jerry Stiller, the famous comedian most known for playing Frank Costanza on Seinfield, has passed away at the age 92. Stiller’s son, actor Ben Stiller, took to Twitter early this morning to confirm the tragic news:

Stiller was born in Brooklyn in 1927. He had a long a storied comedic career, meeting his wife Anne Meara on the New York comedy scene and appearing on The Tonight Show and The Ed Sullivan Show throughout the 60’s and 70’s. He additionally had a storied film career, having memorable appearances in films, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, and Zoolander. After Seinfeld went off the air in 1998, he became a regular cast member on Kevin James’ The King of Queens, appearing in 195 of the sitcom’s 207 episodes as Arthur. Stiller additionally authored a memoir titled Married to Laughter: A Love Story Featuring Anne Meara. 

Jerry Stiller is survived by his two children, the aforementioned actor, writer, and director Ben Stiller, and actress Amy Stiller. He will be dearly missed on the comedy scene, but the laughter he gave us will never be forgotten. Serenity now….
