CinemaCon Set To Award Actor Dennis Quaid

Prolific actor Dennis Quaid is set to receive an award during the Big Screen Achievement Awards. The ceremony is to be held in the Caesars Palace colosseum.

Organized by the National Association of Theater Owners, or NATO for short, Quaid will be given the accolade for the Cinema Icon.

Quaid boasts an extensive resume to his name, which dates back to as early as the 70’s, as Hollywood Reporter points out. Some of his most well known roles include The Day After Tomorrow, Stripes, Traffic, and many more. Quaid even dipped his toe into the waters of the Jaws series, when he took up the lead role in 1983’s Jaws 3-D.

Mitch Neuhauser of CinemaCon said, in regards to Quaid, that “his ability to embody diverse characters has captivated audiences for decades with his dedication to crafting authentic portrayals. He is truly a Hollywood icon.”

Quaid is currently set to appear in Reagan, being distributed by ShowBiz Direct. Reagan follows the life of the former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, played by Quaid, chronicling his childhood up to his presidency from 1981 to 1989.

Also set to be awarded, alongside Quaid, are Amy Poehler, Shawn Levy, Lupita Nyong’o, Dan Stevens, and Joseph Quinn.

The award ceremony is to be held on April 11th, 2024.
