Christopher Nolan Shows Support For Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon’

Zack Snyder’s space opera Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire is currently leading on the Netflix charts and Christopher Nolan has recently given him huge amount of support. In The Atlantic’s profile on the prolific director, Nolan discussed Snyder’s major influence on cinema, stating that Snyder’s touch is felt in any “superhero science-fiction film coming out these days.”

Nolan and Snyder have previously worked together with Nolan serving as producer on Snyder’s Man of Steel. The 2013 film was based on a story Nolan and his Dark Knight trilogy co-writer David S. Goyer created together. Since that collaboration, Nolan and Snyder have stayed friends.

Speaking further on Snyder, Nolan said, “When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you see and feel his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you.”

Though Snyder’s career has been divisive and initial reviews of the Netflix original film were largely negative, Nolan has been supportive during the rollout of Rebel Moon and throughout Snyder’s career.

For those interested in seeing for themselves, Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire is currently available for streaming on Netflix, and Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver will soon be available for streaming on Netflix on April 19.
