Check out the Trailer for the American-Belgian Movie ‘The Loft’

After a change in distributor, the movie The Loft is finally headed to US theaters next Friday, January 30. The film centers on five men who share a loft that their wives know nothing about and use it as the setting for their infidelities and passions – until a dead woman turns up in their bed, and none of them know how she got there.

After the men agree to “the rules of the loft,” someone decides to take revenge on them by framing them for murder, as seen when the men discover the murdered woman in the bed. Most of the trailer then focuses on the mens’ endeavors to find out who is framing them and who would want revenge on them if their wives and their close friends know nothing about the loft. Starring Karl Urban (Star Trek), James Marsden (X-Men), Eric Stonestreet (TV series Modern Family), Rhona Mitra (Shooter), and a host of other Hollywood stars, the movie looks to be a roller coaster ride of suspense and passion.

Universal Pictures was supposed to have distributed the movie in August of 2014, but cancelled the release at the last minute, instead putting the horror movie As Above, So Below in its place. The Loft then picked up a new distributor in Open Roads Films. The movie is actually a remake of director Erik Van Looy’s original, which he made back in 2008 in his home country of Belgium.
