Check Out the Trailer for ‘Swiss Army Man’

The first trailer has premiered for Swiss Army Man, likely the most polarizing title to screen at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Famously dubbed the “flatulence corpse” movie in Park City, the adventure dramedy sparked wide debate (along with numerous reported walk-outs) yet also picked up the U.S. Dramatic Directing Prize for first-time feature filmmakers Dan Kwan and Daniel Schienert. The film stars Paul Dano (Love & Mercy), Daniel Radcliffe (Kill Your Darlings) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Smashed) and may just have to be seen to be believed.

Sort of a super indie take on Weekend at Bernie’sSwiss Army Man centers around a man (Dano) who is deserted on an island with little hope left on survival. When all appears to be lost, a corpse emerges (played by Radcliffe) and a surreal journey to get home takes flight. Trendy outfit A24 Films picked up the film despite (and more likely, due to) it’s polarizing reception. The film is set to open in limited release in the U.S. on June 17th. Check out the trailer and the one-sheet below.
