Check out the Trailer for ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2’

The Portokalos family is back in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, the long awaited follow-up to 2002’s surprise indie hit. Universal has just released the first trailer for the film.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding was the little engine that could when it was released, making over $368 million worldwide on a budget of just $5 million.

Nia Vardalos and John Corbett (TV’s Sex and the City) reprise their roles as marrieds Toula and Ian, who are now dealing with a teenage daughter (Elena Kampouris) applying to far-flung colleges in an attempt to get away from her smothering extended family. If that weren’t enough, a family secret comes to light which sets in motion the need for yet another Greek wedding, this one promising to be bigger, fatter, and yes, Greek-er.

The bulk of the cast from the original returns, including Andrea Martin, Michael Constantine and Lainie Kazan. Kirk Jones (Waking Ned Devine) directs from a script by Vardalos, an Oscar nominee for her script for the first film. Rita Wilson, who was instrumental in bringing Vardalos’ one-woman play to the screen for the first film, is producing along with Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. The film bows March 25, 2016. Check out the trailer below.
