With Ant-Man, the next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being released next month, a new TV spot has just aired featuring Scott Lang embracing his Ant-Man persona rather than just being introduced to it, as he was in previous trailers. We also see the inciting action that propels the movie’s plot: Pym’s technology for super-small soldiers being marketed as the ultimate secret weapon.
Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man alongside Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, and several other Hollywood stars. It’s directed by Peyton Reed and will more or less follow right after the events of May’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The movie will be the premiere of the Ant-Man character, who was originally a founding member of the Avengers in the Marvel comics. Ant-Man will follow Scott Lang and Douglas’s character Hank Pym as they try to save the world from Pym’s own creations, which could be used to incite chaos around the world if they fall into the wrong hands.
