Check Out the Full Trailer for Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’

You probably know that director Quentin Tarantino has been making headlines of late, when remarks he made condemning police brutality led many police unions to call for boycott of his upcoming film The Hateful Eight. In what may be an interesting coincidence in timing – or a shrewd move to capitalize on some free PR – the full trailer of the film surfaced online today.

Tarantino’s western, set in Wyoming after the Civil War, centers on a disparate group of travelers stranded together in a remote cottage during a fierce blizzard. Kurt Russell (Furious 7) stars as John ‘The Hangman’ Ruth, who is bringing a fugitive (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to meet her date with the noose. Along the way, they pick up Samuel L. Jackson‘s Major Marquis Warren, a bounty hunter. The trio is forced to take shelter in a log cabin filled with a rogue’s gallery of characters, none of whom trust each other, and quite likely, none of whom should be trusted.

The all-star cast includes Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Tim Roth (Selma), Walton Goggins (TV’s Justified),  Michael Madson (Kill Bill), Demian Bichir (A Better Life) and Channing Tatum (Magic Mike XXL).

The Weinstein Company will be releasing the film in a limited roadshow release on 70mm on Christmas Day, which should well complement the sweeping vistas of the lush Wyoming countryside that Tarantino has created. The film will go wide on January 8, 2016.
