Check Out the First Trailer for ‘High-Rise’ with Tom Hiddleston

How would you like to live in the lap of luxury, in a high rise building of 40 floors not only with all the modern conveniences but its own onsite spa, swimming pools, restaurants, cinemas, library, school, supermarket, and hospital? “Join us,”  invites Tom Hiddleston (I Saw the Light) in the first trailer for High-Rise. Check it out below:

Based on J.G. Ballard’s novel of the same name, Ben Wheatley (A Field in England) directed from Amy Jump’s screenplay adaptation. The story follows a seemingly utopian enclosed community at the fictional Royal Architects’ London building which is on the brink of unrest as residents break into tribal factions and class warfare between the lower floors and the luxurious upper floors, heightened by power outages at the complex.

The Studio Canal thriller debuted earlier this year at Toronto International Film Festival. Hiddleston leads the cast as new arrival Dr. Robert Laing at the high rise. Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons (Beautiful Creatures) plays the building’s creator and visionary architect, Anthony Royal. The film also stars Luke Evans (Furious 7), Sienna Miller (Burnt), Elisabeth Moss (Truth), James Purefoy (Momentum), and Keeley Hawes (The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box).

Earlier this month, Magnolia Pictures acquired U.S. rights to the film, which bows in 2016. While a U.S. release date has not yet been set, the film will be released in the U.K. on March 18th.
