Writer-directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash will be directing their new film Heart with Octavia Spencer, Sam Rockwell, and Allison Janney in starring roles, according to Deadline.
The protagonists in the film, Joe and Lucy, played by Rockwell and Spencer respectively, are in need of cash. They undertake a job to deliver a heart from New York within 24 hours to a patient on a donor list in Florida. Once they realize that the person who wants the heart is a black-market buyer who cheated his way up the list, they attempt to get the heart to the right individual. This leads to them being chased by the millionaire buyer, his brother, and Lucy’s ex-boss, who is played by Janney.
The directors are currently involved with the film Downhill with Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Film production will begin later this year.
