Carson Rowland Of ‘Sweet Magnolias’ Joins Cast Of ‘NDA’

Carson Rowland in Netflix's 'Sweet Magnolias' (2020-present)

Carson Rowland (Sweet Magnolias) is joining Rachel Zegler (Snow White), Penn Badgley (You), and Amy Ryan (The Office) in the cast of Audrey Ellis Fox’s directorial debut, NDA. Written by Fox, the movie stars Zegler as Dana, a girl who has to navigate life after filing a sexual-harassment claim at her workplace. Filming has been seen in New York, and there is no other confirmed information about the release date or who else is to star in the movie.

Rowland has been in four seasons of the Netflix series, Sweet Magnolias, where he played the character Tyler ‘Ty’ Townsend, the son of Maddie Townsend, played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Reba).  According to Deadline, Rowland left the show to pursue other projects since he faced conflicts while filming season four of the series. Showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson told Deadline,

His presence was important, and his absence was important for us to deal with. I wanted to honor the journey that Annie has been on, even though it took this unexpected turn because of someone else’s decision.

Among those projects he starred in The Queen’s Jewel and co-executive produced The Testament of Ann Lee. More recently, he has had a recurring role in the NBC pilot The Rockford Files and guest starred in Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty.

As of now, he has not been confirmed for any other projects.
