Fans of Community and Mad Men got an all-too brief glimpse of Alison Brie in The Kings of Summer (a nonetheless excellent film which wisely chose to focus its attentions elsewhere). But fear not, she’ll be returning to the big screen soon. In addition to roles in The LEGO Movie and veteran comedy writer Scot Armstrong’s (Old School) directorial debut, Search Party, Brie just wrapped work on the indie film No Stranger Than Love, thanking the cast, crew, and Canada and tweeting out this picture:

As we previously reported, the film co-stars Colin Hanks and Justin Chatwin and comes via a script from Steve Adams (Waiting for Forever, Envy).
For Hanks, No Stranger Than Love could be a chance to re-discover the starring form that seems to have escaped him since 2002’s Orange County. Not that he’s been out of work by any means; in addition to consistent film roles, Hanks has seen runs on a number of TV shows, including Dexter and a current headlining role on USA’s The Good Guys. But with that exception, he’s largely been unable to step out of both supporting roles and his father’s shadow. No Stranger Than Love is still seeking distribution, so a release date is up in the air as well:
