Indiana Jones 5 just got much more exciting and with an even bigger cast. Boyd Holbrook (The Predator) and Shaunette Renée Wilson (The Resident) are the latest to join the next installment with Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Mads Mikkelsen (via Hollywood Reporter).
John Williams is also returning to the film to score the next installment, 40 years after Raiders of the Lost Ark. Williams has scored every Indiana Jones film, including that oh so classic theme song.
Unfortunately, Steven Spielberg won’t be directing the next installment but, with great trust, is handing over the directing mantel to James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari). Spielberg is still going to be a producer and heavily involved in the making of the film.
The story plot on the next adventure is still unclear, or the roles that Holbrook and Wilson will play or even the roles that Waller-Bridge and Mikkelsen will play yet.
Holbrook made a name for himself, starring in the first two seasons of the Netflix show Narcos. He recently finished shooting on Netflix’s widely awaited Sandman series and starred in the Sundance hit Eight To Silver.
Wilson is best known for her role as one of the leads in Fox’s medical drama The Resident and starred in Showtime’s Billions.
Production will hopefully start this summer on track for its scheduled release on July 29, 2022.
