Adding to an already star-heavy cast, Blake Lively has signed on for Woody Allen’s next movie, according to Deadline.
Lively will be joining the previously announced Bruce Willis (Red 2), Jesse Eisenberg (Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Kristen Stewart (Clouds of Sils Maria) in Allen’s latest film. Lively was most recently seen in the time-bending romantic drama The Age of Adaline opposite Harrison Ford (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Michiel Huisman.
As with most Allen projects, the title and plot are being kept under wraps for now, as are any character details. Allen will pen the script and will produce with his long time collaborators Letty Arsonson, Stephen Tenenbaum, and Edward Walson. The film is anticipated as a 2016 release. Meanwhile, Allen’s Irrational Man, staring Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix will make its world premiere at next week’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on July 24th.
Lively will be keeping busy until the Allen shoot starts. Next up for the actress is All I See is You, directed by Marc Forster, which is currently in pre-production and in which she stars alongside Jason Clarke (Terminator Genysis).
