‘Black Panther’ Writer Makes Directorial Debut

Netflix is set to release a crime drama film directed by Joe Robert Cole, writer of Marvel’s Black Panther.

The drama, All Day and Night, tells the story of a young man looking back on his life after his arrival in prison in an attempt to figure out how to survive his new reality.

Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson – who produced The People v. O.J. Simpson for Netflix as well as the upcoming film Crazy Rich Asians – and Jared Ian Goldman, producer of The Punisher, will be producing All Day and a Night.

Cole and Netflix are also currently working on a Vault Comics adaptation, Failsafe, to star Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan.
