Birds Of Prey Deemed Rated R, Trailer Coming Soon

Reportedly attached to the extended cut for Far From Home‘s re-release, Birds of Prey is looking to make its reveal in theaters this coming week. The anticipation for Warner Bros new kick-ass girl squad has fans excited for the upcoming trailer. Along with Todd Philips’s Joker, Birds of Prey will be labeled rated R as Warner Bros’ pushes for a more adult audience to expand upon their DC characters.

With early test footage released earlier this year and Ewan McGregor taking the role as iconic Batman villain Black Mask, hopes are high in the world of DC.  IT Chapter 2 is out this week and lines up perfectly to get attached with the film, as many will be in attendance for the horror flick. The quick teaser should gain exposure building anticipation for a full length trailer by the time Joker comes around in October.

Margot Robbie will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn, with Birds of Prey building on her decision to leave the Joker and pavesher own way with the help of Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). However, Birds of Prey will not be a sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad. The film went through some re-shoots to add new action scenes raved by Margot herself, added by John Wick director Chad Stahelski. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is directed by Cathy Yan and scheduled to be released on February 7th, 2020.
