We will have to until next March to see the completed product but Warner Bros. is wasting no time in getting our superhero nerves a-tingling. Zack Synder (300) returns in the director’s chair following the 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel further expanding the DC Comics cinematic universe. Warner Bros. is eager to get the ball rolling- and hoping to compete with the mighty Marvel for box office dollars- as further expansion is already the works- Suicide Squad opens next summer with Wonder Woman readying to start production.
Cavill (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) returns to the series along with newcomer Affleck. Batman v. Superman will also showcase our first glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne’s trusty butler Alfred and Jesse Eisenberg as Superman’s most famous foe Lex Luthor. Rounding out the cast includes Man of Steel veterans Amy Adams (as Lois Lane), Diane Lane (as Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (as Perry White).
