‘Avengers 4’ Title Won’t Come out Until after ‘Avengers 3’

Avengers fans anticipating the fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise will have to wait until after Avengers: Infinity War for details on the fourth film, as reported by Comicbook.com. Even the title itself will be kept under wraps!

There’s a fair amount of reasoning for this choice. In an interview with MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the directors Anthony and Joe Russo stated that revealing the title of the fourth film would give away too much of the top-secret storyline. After all of the effort and logistics necessary to compose these films one after another, it’s an understandable choice to keep mum.

Yet, it would seem Avengers fans are too sophisticated to ignore something like hidden plot details in set photos or the possibilities in the film’s prospective title. Considering the movie is based off of a comic book narrative, there is also plenty of potential for overlap in events or spoilers to be gleaned in that respect.

It’s no wonder fans are anxious to learn more about the upcoming Avengers films; they’re bringing together more elements than every Marvel film before them. They will boast a huge array of beloved superheroes like the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as former antagonist Loki, and the big bad which they have been building up for years: Thanos.

The fourth Avengers film arrives on May 3, 2019. Until then, fans can whet their appetite on Avengers: Infinity War, which will be released on May 4, 2018.
