‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’ Gets Disney+ Release Date

Fans of the Avatar franchise finally know when they’ll be able to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash on Disney+. The film is set to release on on the streaming service on June 24. For those who missed the film in theaters, this release will be an accessible way to watch it at home. And for those who missed the chance to see the film in 3D, it will likely be available to watch in 3D on the Disney+ app for the Apple Vision Pro, similar to the previous two films in the franchise.

This Disney+ release follows the film’s immense commercial success. At the box office, the film grossed $404 million domestically and over $1 billion worldwide, for a total worldwide gross of over $1.4 billion. This total is less than the previous Avatar installments, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water, which both grossed over $2 billion worldwide, but was a big enough sum to make the film one of the highest-grossing in 2025.

The film was also a decent critical success. The film currently has a 66% Fresh critics’ score and a 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It also has a Metacritic score of 61 and an IMDb average rating of 7.3/10.

For those who don’t want to wait for the Disney+ release to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash at home, it is currently available for digital purchase on multiple digital streaming platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. In addition, the film will be receiving a physical release on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on May 19.
