Actress Angourie Rice, featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Spider-Man Movies, speaks about not appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. In interview with Collider, Rice was ask about the where abouts of her character Betty Brant, to which she replied,”I don’t know! She’s probably practicing ethical journalism, and doing it in style. I like to think she’s got a good job somewhere, and she’s doing something worthwhile and meaningful.”
Betty Brant was a supporting character in all of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies, even serving as a love interest to Peter Parker’s friend, Ned, in Spider-Man: Far From Home. As for her role in the lastest in the series, Rice said, “I don’t think it was ever part of the story. Everybody forgets. And then, he’s on his new journey now, which I think that’s meaningful for the story, too, is you watch his character grow from high school, and he’s not in high school anymore. It’s a new era.”
Rice is starring in another project called Finding Emily, that’s set to release the 28 of this month. The movie initially released on May 22 of this year in the United Kingdom. The movie stands with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
