The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards returned to the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Sunday night to celebrate the accomplishments of some of this year’s biggest stars in film and television.

Within the film category, Timothée Chalamet was recognized as best actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. Admitting in his acceptance speech that this role took over five years of his life, he said, “I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist…and it was the honor of a lifetime playing him.” Demi Moore won best actress in a leading role for The Substance. When accepting the award, Moore urged young actors to not, “lose sight of the human connection,” in the industry, as it was thanks to her supportive team of casting directors, producers, and directors whose feedback pushed her towards success.

Starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini, this political Vatican thriller follows the trials surrounding the selection of a new pope. When accepting the award, Fiennes dedicated the win to the minds of the film’s producer Tessa Ross and director Edward Berger.
