2017 SXSW Audience Award Winners

The Audience Award winners for the 2017 South By Southwest Film Festival have been announced. For the Narrative Feature Competition, Jessica M. Thompson’s romantic drama The Light of the Moon was crowned. The well-reviewed character study focuses on a successful New York career woman whose life is dramatically altered; Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield) star.

Other Audience Award winners in the differing SXSW sidebars including Edgar Wright’s anticipated upcoming feature Baby Driver, which stars Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars), Lily James (Cinderella) and Jamie Foxx (Ray) and a favorite from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, The Big Sick.
