10-Year-Old Theo Clark Leber To Star Opposite Of Dwayne Johnson In ‘Lizard Music’

10-year-old Theo Clark Leber is set to star in Lizard Music, a new film by Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems). For Leber’s theatrical debut, he will be alongside Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam) who was worked with Safdie before on the film The Smashing Machine. The movie is an adaptation of a novel written by Daniel Manus Pinkwater of the same name that was published back in 1975. The book follows a boy discovering a late broadcast of Lizards playing music he has never heard before.

In a TikTok by Rotten Tomatoes, Johnson talks about the first time he was pitched this film. He says, “Benny pitched me this after we wrapped The Smashing Machine and after about 45-minutes the pitch ended and I said ‘I am your chicken man’.” Johnson goes on to clarify that his role will be a “very whimsical” and “eccentric” 70-year-old man named the chicken man, who has a chicken companion. He ends with,

I’m so excited cause I get a chance to hopefully transform again like I was able to do with Smashing Machine. So [I] can’t wait.

No other information about the film, such as who else is to star or when the movie will be released, has been announced as of now.
