A new image from behind the scenes of Zack Snyder‘s Army of the Dead shows a first glimpse at what to expect into Synder’s world of zombies. Vanity Fair shared the image, which has Scott Ward, the leader of the group, on the ground next to a gray-faced zombie hanging by wires. In the photo, Snyder appears just behind Bautista, lighting up the shot. Synder, most known for his work on the Justice League films, appears to be a perfect pick for Army Of The Dead, as he rose to fame by directing the zombie film Dawn Of The Dead (2004), which was a remake of George A. Romero‘s 1978 film.
Army Of The Dead is expected to premiere on Netflix this May, 2021. With a trailer on the way, and the first image to be shown, fans can finally get excited.
Army of the Dead will follow a group of mercenaries in Las Vegas, hoping to to score big by robbing a casino vault. Meanwhile, a zombie outbreak is currently happening after an accident at Area 51 releases a deadly virus. The film is expected to turn into a franchise, with a prequel film and an animated series already in the works.
