The spin-off to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, gets the official title The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. This David Fincher (Zodiac) directed film initially got a teaser trailer released during Super Bowl LX, where it had the title The Adventures of Cliff Booth. The movie is being release in IMAX on November 25th before it becomes available to stream on Netflix on December 23rd. The film is set to take place eight years after the events of the first one, with Booth, portrayed by Brad Pitt (Fight Club), becoming a fixer in 70’s Hollywood. This project, however, is not directed by Tarantino and only being written by him. In the Hollywood Reporter, Tarantino explained, “I love this script, but I’m still walking down the same ground I’ve already walked. It just kind of unenthused me. This last movie, I’ve got to not know what I’m doing again. I’ve got to be in uncharted territory.”
Tarantino plans for his next film to be his last and the idea of his last movie being a sequel is not something he wants. In the aforementioned Hollywood Reporter article, Tarantino added, “I think me and David Fincher are the two best directors. So the idea that David Fincher actually wants to adapt my work, to me, shows a level of seriousness towards my work that I think needs to be taken into account.”
