Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are teaming up once again. A new trailer has been released for Practical Magic 2. 

After embracing their lineage, and the magical powers that come with it, Sally and Gillian Owens have been able to lead lives as normal as their abilities would allow. But the very foundations of both of their lives are shaken when an ancient curse emerges, causing them to call upon their family for all the help they can conjure. 

Both Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman will be back as Sally and Gillian Owens, respectively. Although their performance helped the film become a cult classic, the two haven’t shared the screen since Practical Magic first hit the scene in 1998. Stockard Channing and Diane Wiest are both returning for the sequel as well, alongside newcomers Maisie Williams, Joey King, Lee Pace, and Xolo Maridueña. 

Hollywood Reporter noted that Susanne Bier will be taking the reins from Griffin Dunne as director on Practical Magic 2. Bier has an extensive collection of directorial credits to her name, including films such as The Night Manager and Bird Box, with the latter of which starring Bullock in the lead role. She’s also worked extensively with Nicole Kidman before, with her starring in Bier’s The Undoing and The Perfect Company. 

Practical Magic 2 hits theaters on September 11th. Check out the trailer below.
