NFL star Travis Kelce, of the Kansas City Chiefs and the boyfriend of Pop legend Taylor Swift, is once more dipping his toes into the world of film. There is talk surrounding a new Lionsgate original picture, Loose Cannon, an action comedy with plans to have Kelce headline. Production for Loose Cannon is unlikely to be in motion as the next NFL season is set to start soon. While there has been no comment from Lionsgate regarding the project further, Kelce has made a splash with other projects soon to premiere.
Kelce, if he stays with Loose Cannon, will be making his feature film debut, but not his acting one. Kelce has recently wrapped production for the first season of Grotesquerie, a new TV series from FX and Ryan Murphy set to premiere this year on Sep 25. The role Kelce played has been kept on the down low, but will soon be revealed with the fast-approaching premiere date. Kelce also recently worked as an executive producer on My Dead Friend Zoe, further rounding out his ventures into the film industry.
Loose Cannon has confirmed that Timothy Dowling will be writing the script. Joining Dowling are Chad Stahelski, Jason Spitz, and Alex Young as producers for the project.
