Rob Huebel has joined the cast of the upcoming Will Farrell, Amy Poehler untitled comedy.
The movie, previously titled The House, will focus on two parents who have spent their daughter’s tuition money and come up with the idea of opening an underground casino in the suburbs to raise the money back. The parents then recruit family and friends to help with the project.
Huebel is most known for portraying Dr. Owen Maestro in the Adult Swim series, Children’s Hospital and Russell in the The League. He’s enjoyed a successful career with minor roles in movies and TV series including stints on The Office, Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, The Other Guys, I Love You, Man, and The Descendants. Recently wrapping up production on Cuddle Party, he is currently filming the comedy, Keanu, starring Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele (TV’s Key and Peele).
New Line Cinema won the rights to the movies in a bidding war earlier this year with a $40 million budget commitment. The film is being directed by Peter Atencio (The Rig) while the script was penned by Neighbors screenwriters Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen. The list of producers includes Will Farrell, Adam McKay, Jessica Elbuam, Marc Fischer and Chris Henchy.
Keanu will hit theatres on April 22, 2016.
