According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon has added Cary Elwes and Corey Stoll to the cast. This is Snyder’s first major project after he released his cut of Justice League in 2021 and will be distributed by Netflix. Cary Elwes is most known for his role as Wesley in The Princess Bride. He has since starred in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, the first Saw film, and the third season of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things. Corey Stoll has appeared in Midnight in Paris, House of Cards, West Side Story and Ant-Man.

The Star Wars inspired science fiction epic is described as a grand fantasy adventure and is co-written by Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad. The story focuses on a young woman tasked with finding warriors to help quell an impending invasion on the outskirts of the galaxy from the evil Regent Belisarius. Rebel Moon includes Sofia Boutella in the lead role along with Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Rupert Friend, Donna Bae, and Jena Malone. Snyder previously worked with Fisher who starred as Cyborg in Justice League (2021) and Malone who starred in Sucker Punch (2011). The pic has also cast Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, and Sky Yang.

Production is set to begin later this year with a release date yet to be announced.
