Against all odds, Zack Snyder‘s cut of Justice League is coming to HBO Max in a little over a month as well as Jared Leto’s Joker. The director cannot stop sharing his excitement for the project on Twitter. Snyder’s latest tweet shows off a blurry new look at the clown prince of crime.
Amazing character you created. Honored to have our worlds collide. @DavidAyerMovies @JaredLeto pic.twitter.com/6FubzkPh4Y

Not to be confused with Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar Award winning take on the character, this latest rendition is Jared Leto‘s second shot at the Joker. Leto originally played Mr. J in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, while Leto made headlines for his off-screen antics, there was a mixed reception to his tatted and damaged portrayal.
However, this looks like a completely different Joker. Though blurry, Leto’s longer hair and more defined smile leaves the viewer imagining a vastly contrasting take on the character. It looks more like Phoenix’s Joker than Leto’s, even with the rubber glove on his right hand, which is prominent in the first look of the character all the way back in 2015.
Love it or hate it, this will certainly be an intriguing reason to watch Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Leto is one of the best and most interesting actors around, and it will be fun to see an updated take on his version of Joker.
After this film is released it, the reception from fans will certainly lead Warner Bros and the DCEU in a new path. Whether that be creating new spin-offs like Joker or revisiting properties such as Man of Steel or David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.
The Snyder Cut of Justice League is set to stream on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
