According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zachary Quinto (Star Trek Beyond) has checked in to Hotel Artemis starring two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster (Elysium). Also in the cast are Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day: Resurgence), Sterling K. Brown (TV’s This is Us), Jenny Slate (Gifted), Charlie Day (The Hollars), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Sofia Boutella (The Mummy).
Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) wrote the screenplay and also makes his directorial debut with the title. The futuristic thriller is set in Los Angeles. Foster plays a nurse in an underground hospital which treats criminals. She finds out that one of the patients is targeting another patient for assassination.
Marc Platt (La La Land) will produce alongside Adam Siegel for Marc Platt Productions. Simon and Stephen Cornwell will produce for The Ink Factory.
Quinto, best known for playing Spock in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, was recently in Oliver Stone’s Snowden. He will next star in Matthew Newton’s drama Who We Are Now opposite Emma Roberts (Nerve), currently in post-production. He will reprise his role as Spock in an as-yet untitled Star Trek sequel, which has been announced.
