It looks like audiences will be getting more Dr. Seuss books brought to the big screen!
Though Universal Pictures and Illumination have made animated films based on beloved Seuss characters like the Lorax and soon, the Grinch, it looks like these newly-announced projects will be made by Warner Brothers Animation in conjunction with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. There, whole fresh array of animated movies will be created, according to Comicbook.com.
Allison Abbate will be one of the Warner Bros. leaders in charge of the projects. She extolled her opinions on the upcoming movies, saying that she “couldn’t be more excited to work on the films based on Dr Seuss’ creative and iconic works.”
The first film to be recreated is the iconic The Cat in the Hat. Like The Grinch, The Cat in the Hat has received a live-action movie. Starring Mike Myers, it was critically panned. Perhaps a new production would potentially provide audiences with a balm, refreshing the material of one of the most influential childrens’ books of all time. As of now, there is no specified release date.
