Van with “#RestoreTheSnyderVerse” Written On the Side Circles the Warner Bros. Lot

Before the recent release of Zack Snyder’s recent recut version of the 2017 Justice League film, which took years of begging and petitioning from fans and stars of the film alike, it was revealed that it would be Snyder’s last project in the extended cinematic universe. While some fans were satisfied that Snyder was able to at least fully realize his vision for the original film, it seems that others are thirsting quite a bit more.

Early Wednesday, in Los Angeles, a van covered in screens was spotted circling the Warner Bros. lot playing video messages supporting Snyder’s vision of the DC Universe, dubbed, the “SnyderVerse.” The screens played different messages in support the director’s return to the franchise. A few of the messages included “#RestoreTheSnyderVerse,” and “WE ARE NOT BROKEN AND WE ARE NOT ALONE,” which was accompanied by screengrabs of the Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score for Zack Snyder’s Justice League and the 1.5 million Tweets that were made using #RestoreTheSnyderVerse on Twitter.

The screens also showed the Twitter handles of some of the companies with ownership of the DC Films franchise: AT&T, HBO Max, and WarnerMedia. The van was also accompanied by a small plane overhead carrying a banner that read, “@ATT @HBOMAX @WARNERMEDIA #RESTORE THE SNYDER VERSE.”

Snyder recently commented on the “Restore the SnyderVerse” movement, saying, “I think it is a concept that I believe shows sort of reverence for the work, right? And that way, whatever it results in, I have no idea. And most likely nothing, just based on you know.”

Considering that, at one point, it seemed like Zack Snyder’s Justice League would never see the light of day, it’s hard to confidently say that Snyder couldn’t ever return to DC Films. For now, the director is already onto his next film, Army of the Dead, a followup to his feature-length debut, Dawn of the Dead, which is coming out on Netflix May 14.
