Untitled Christopher Nolan Film Set for July 2020 Release

If any director has proven to be as marketable as any major big franchise in the same vein of Marvel and Star Wars, it is the master of IMAX film making himself, Christopher Nolan. His next film has already has a set release date for July 17, 2020, however that is all that is known about the film at this very moment.

It is unknown if the film will be a science fiction epic in the vein of Inception or Interstellar, or a true story epic similar to Dunkirk, nor has it been revealed who will be in his next feature film. The project is just described as an event film and most likely the marketing will still have a good amount of secrecy with Nolan’s films’ trailers barely revealing much of what the film is actually about.

Regardless of who is in the film and what it exactly is about, the name Christopher Nolan is enough of a brand recognition for fans to be invested in his new project. Not to mention the July release date does make sense for Nolan with most of his successful films being released in that month with The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, and Dunkirk all released during mid-late July. Dunkirk alone made $526.9 million worldwide during it’s release in July of 2017, so this next film regardless of what it is, will be expected to still make a huge splash box office.

Nolan’s next project will also be released with Bob’s Burger’s from Fox and the third Spongebob Movie from Paramount as its competition. Even with two successful TV shows having their own movies come out as Nolan’s next big film, Warner Brothers has some major confidence with this next project with so many film buffs trusting Christopher Nolan to create an epic blockbuster masterpiece.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
