Many are familiar with the John Hughes classic, Uncle Buck. While not the most critically acclaimed of Hughes work, the film still has the same charm and energy that many expect from the late director, and still stands as an iconic starring vehicle for late great comedian John Candy. News has recently surface about the film, as it was reveal that there is an unreleased 3-Hour Cut of Uncle Buck.
Throughout his career, John Hughes has been known for shooting a ton of footage for his film as a way to let his actors ad-lib and experiment with their performances. The same was true for the Uncle Buck as the Youtube channel Hats Off Entertainment went into detailed about how this cut became a thing and what scenes were left out in the final movie. Some scenes that were already in the film were slightly altered in the 3-hour cut with some alternate dialogue and takes, The longer cut also includes some abandon sub-plots including one where Uncle Buck helping out his Nephew Miles (Macaulay Culkin) by creating some very outlandish lunches that end up making Miles more popular than he initially was.
