Universal Studios’ ‘The Fall Guy’ Trailer Released

Universal Studios released its first trailer for its upcoming action comedy, The Fall Guy. Starring Ryan Gosling, the film will follow a stuntman who is pulled into a dangerous mission while trying to recover a missing star.

Gosling’s character, Colt Seavers, works as a stuntman for director Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), an old flame that harbors some disdain for him. When the lead star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), goes missing, Seavers is told to search for him since it’s his job as a stuntman to go unnoticed, according to executive producer Gail (Hannah Waddingham). Originally hoping to use this mission to win back Moreno, Seavers is soon drawn into a criminal underworld, where he will use his skills as a stuntman to survive.

The Fall Guy is directed by David Leitch, a former stuntman and director of other action comedies like Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train. Based on the 1980s TV show of the same name, the film is penned by Drew Pearce and produced by Leitch, Gosling, and Kelly McCormick from 87North.

Gosling, Blunt, and Leitch presented a first look at the film in April at a panel for CinemaCon.

The Fall Guy is set to be released on March 1st, 2024.
