Universal Pictures Brings ‘The House With A Clock in Its Walls’ in First Trailer

Based on the novel by John Bellairs, Universal Pictures is bringing the next haunted house this September to the big screen. This time, its not the people making you jump, its the ticking that will send audiences in for a scare. The film stars Jack Black and two-time Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett in the tradition of Amblin classics of fantastical events occurring in the most unexpected places.

The House with a Clock in its Walls also stars Owen Vaccaro, playing a 10-year-old Lewis as he goes to live with his magical uncle in a creaky old house with a mysterious tick. He soon discovers that the town is in a dream-like sleep that can only be awaken once he accidentally wakes the dead, leading to the discovery of a secret world of warlocks and witches.

Horror King Eli Roth directed the film based on a script by Eric Kripke. The film also costars Kyle MacLachlan, Colleen Camp, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Venessa Anna Williams and Sunny Suljic.
