Uma Thurman, Siobhan Fallon Hogan Join ‘The House That Jack Built’

Uma Thurman and Siobhan Fallon Hogan (Forrest Gump, Men in Black) have joined the cast of women murdered by Lars Von Trier‘s serial killer anti-hero in his new film The House That Jack Built , Deadline reports.

This will be a reunion for the actresses and director, as Thurman and Hogan have both worked with Lars Von Trier before, Thurman in Nymphomaniac and Hogan in Dancer in the Dark and Dogville.

Matt Dillon is set to play Jack, a serial killer who the film follows over a 12 year span, showing how he developed into a highly intelligent, highly crazed killer who sees every murder as it’s own individual work of art. The film follows Jack as the police draw in closer, and his impulses to take more risks grow more intense. Other actors in the film include stars Riley Keough (American Honey), Sofie Gråbøl (TV’s The Killing) and Bruno Ganz (Downfall).

Film companies everywhere have gone crazy with the prospect of this film, with Louise Vesth producing along with Film i Väst, Copenhagen Film Fund, and Slot Machine. Danish Film Institute, Swedish Film Institute, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, CNC, Film und-Medienstiftung NRW, and whole lot of other names are also attaching themselves to the film. TrustNordisk will be handling distribution, and have already chosen many territorial distributors such as Films du Losange in France, and Tele Munchen in Germany and Austria.

The film will be shot in Sweden this month, and then in Denmark in May. Thurman will next be seen in the comedy The Brits are Coming and Hogan will be appearing in the indie drama Weightless.
