Jerry and Marge Go Large has a fantastic comedic cast already, and the cast just keeps getting funnier. Deadline confirmed that Uly Schlesinger (The Sinner), Michael McKean (Clue), and Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) would be joining the Paramount+ comedy. Ann Harada (Schmigadoon!)and Devyn McDowell (Annette) are also joining the comedy.
They join Bryan Cranston (The One and Only Ivan), Annette Bening (Captain Marvel), Larry Wilmore (The Laundromat) and Rainn Wilson (The Office), and Jake McDorman (Greek).
The Devil Wears Prada and Marley & Me director David Frankel is directing Jerry and Marge Go Large. Emmy nominee Brad Copeland (Arrested Development) wrote the script based on an original story written by Jason Fagone for The Huffington Post about the real-life lotto-scamming couple.
Jerry and Marge Go Large follows Jerry Selbee (Cranston), a retiree who discovers a mathematical flaw in the Massachusetts lottery and wins $27 million with the aid of his wife, Marge (Bening), and uses the money to revitalize their little Michigan town.
Tyler, a university student who also plays the Massachusetts Winfall lotto game, Schlesinger will play. McKean and Harada will portray Howard and Shirley, a retired couple who are friends with Jerry and Marge. Dawn, Jerry and Marge’s daughter, will be played by Camp, while McDowell will play Liz, Jerry, and Marge’s granddaughter.
Schlesinger can be seen on the HBO Max series Generation.
McKean finished lending his voice to the animated adventure My Little Pony: A New Generation.
Along with filming Jerry and Marge Go Large, Camp is also filming the drama Unexpecting.
Filming in Atlanta, Georgia, has officially begun.
