Fans of indie horror have a unique film to look forward to this summer that actually contains three shorter horror stories. The movie is a Canadian film called The Final Ride, and it is being advertised as a horror anthology movie.
The plot of one of the stories will involve the ghost of a fitness mogul from the 1980’s, another story will be about a strange tattoo that keeps on spreading, and finally another story will be about a driver for a ride share app who picks up her last customer of the night.
According to Movie Web, The Final Ride is set to release on digital platforms on July 14. The Final Ride was written and directed by Mike McMurran, who also designed the movie’s official poster. McMurran was the writer and director for the 2015 horror movie Secret Santa.
Actors Keegan Chambers, Matthew Chisholm, and. Annette Wozniak star in the movie. Chisholm previously starred in Secret Santa, Chambers was in Age of the Living Dead, and Wozniak had a role in Safe House.
Anthology movies are a rare breed, but anthologies often work well for horror stories that are linked together by a shared aesthetic or terrifying theme.
