Trailer for ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

Filmmaker Casey Wilder Mott is cooking up a version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream that reimagines the story as a critique of Hollywood, modern romance, and celebrity culture.

Combining the original Shakespearean dialogue with a modern Los Angeles setting and vibrant visuals, the film’s new trailer gives the audience a delirious look into the lives of four well-dressed singles and their supernaturally-altered destinies.

Rachel Leigh Cook takes on the role of Hermia with Lily Rabe as her best friend Helena. The two leading men, Demetrius and Lysander, will be portrayed by Finn Wittrock and Hamish Linklater, respectively. The cast also includes Paz de la Huerta, Avan Jogia, and Ted Levine, among others.
