Tons of Colorful Stylized Action Showcased in First Trailer for ‘John Wick 3’

If there’s any modern day film franchise that has gotten so much attention within the past decade, it is the John Wick series. The franchise has gotten a huge following for its stylized violence, world building, unique concept and bringing back Keanu Reeves as a full fledged action star. With the third one on the horizon, fans are eagerly awaiting the newest installment in a series about assassins and protecting dogs and are now given a full glimpse of what the next chapter in John Wick’s story has to offer.

John Wick 3: Parabellum‘s first trailer showcases all of what the John Wick series is know for, with so many shots with neon lights and John Wick shooting bad guys, while also showing a bit more of the plot where John Wick 2‘s cliffhanger left off. All of this mayhem and madness is set to Frank Sinatra’s cover of To Dream the Impossible Dream, setting the mood for the epic finale this series has been leading up to. The trailer also ends with new cast member to the series Halle Berry teaming up with John Wick to fight many of the assassins they have to face.

This next installment in the John Wick series is continuing with Chad Stahelski in the directing chair, and of course with Keanu Reeves in the leading role. Actors John Leguizamo and Ian McShane are returning as their characters from the other two films, alongside Laurence Fishburne returning as his character from the second. Plus as mentioned earlier, being introduced in this new installment is Halle Berry as an old friend and partner of John Wick.

The film is set to be released on May 17,2019 from Summit and Lionsgate.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
