Timothy Olyphant to Potentially Join Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’

Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming film based on Charles Manson and Sharon Tate, Once Upon Time in Hollywood, may find their next lead in Timothy Olyphant, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Both Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have already landed roles in the upcoming feature.

The film is to be set in Los Angeles in 1969. It follows Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), a big former lead in a Western television program, and his long-time stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt). The two go through the struggles of attempting to stay relevant in the ever-changing land of the stars, Hollywood, all the while Rick’s next door neighbor, Sharon Tate, is nearing her terrible and infamous demise.

Other famous names including Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Kurt Russel, and Michael Madsen, are in talks to play multiple cameo-type roles throughout the film.

Tarantino is set to produce, and the film is set to be released in theaters on August 9, 2019.

Olyphant can currently be seen in the popular Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet alongside Drew Barrymore.
