Likened to thriller drama Duel and Jonathan Mostow’s Breakdown, Voltage pictures will produce and fund seasoned thriller screenwriter David Loughery’s newest thriller Blackwing, according to Variety.
The film centers on a pilot who is up against a serial killer on his plane. The “mouse and cat game” scheme of the plot mirrors the type of game played in Duel.
Loughery was also involved in writing and producing The Intruder, which is another thriller about a young couple who buys a house that the original owner still remains attached to and follows their every move. The thriller also follows others he has written in the past, such as Obsessed and Lakeview Terrace.
Voltage Pictures will be presenting Blackwing to buyers at the European Film Market at the Berlin Film Festival.
