In preparation for Halloween this year, a batch of new merchandise centered around the Universal Monsters characters and their theme park, Dark Universe, is on the way, Collider reports.

Created in 1931 with adaptations of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff, the supernatural horror franchise would eventually go on to include The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Bride of Frankenstein, and The Gill Man, aka The Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Now, over a dozen new merchandising items have been announced, including an 11-inch-tall Frankenstein’s Monster bust, a Curse of the Werewolf headpiece with glowing eyes, Dracula and Vampire Bride action figurines with interchangeable heads, Frankenstein’s Monster and Victoria action figures that include a crossbow, and seven Bitty Monster plushie dolls.

The original films themselves have recently received 4K transfers, with Bride of Frankenstein receiving a steelbook for its 90th anniversary.

The Dark Universe theme park opened on May 22nd, 2025 in Orlando as part of Universal Studios’ Epic Universe theme park expansion, both as way to honor the original characters and as a revival of the failed film franchise, that started with The Mummy from 2017 starring Tom Cruise, that attempted to reboot the Monsters for modern audiences.

A year-long attraction, Universal Horror Unleashed, has also recently opened in Las Vegas, featuring merchandise of its own.
